on the River Exe, and winner of a Best Market Town award has a
fascinating museum of local history. Crediton has some good specialist
shops and the ancient church of St Boniface. Many of the towns in the
Heart of Devon have regular farmer’s markets where you can sample local
produce for which the region is rightly famous.
There
are many village pubs and restaurants with excellent food and local
cider and ale. Killerton and Knightshayes are two National Trust
properties in the area, both fascinating houses with wonderful gardens.
Children are well catered for at Diggerland, Quad World and Crealy
Adventure Park and there are excellent golf courses and plenty of
fishing opportunities.

the Heart of Devon you are never too far away from Exmoor and Dartmoor
or from either the North and South coasts.
