B&B bed and breakfast in mid devon

Sample true hospitality by staying in quality accommodation in the heart of the Devonshire countryside.  All the accommodation has been independently graded by either the English Tourism Council, AA or RAC, which includes the provision of tea and coffee facilities.  Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before setting out for the day. Breakfast includes both homegrown and local produce. After an enjoyable day discovering the surrounding area, come home to a  hearty home cooked evening meal.

Staying in the Heart of Devon enables you to experience real Devon hospitality in an area of gently sloping hills, patchwork fields and pretty villages. All corners of the county can be explored from this central region and there is a huge variety of things to see and do right here on your doorstep.

The cathedral city of Exeter has a fascinating history and is a lively cultural centre with its university and its combination of ancient and modern buildings. The recently redeveloped quay has a variety of craft and antique shops. Boats and bikes can be hired to enable you to explore further along the canal.

Tiverton, on the River Exe, and winner of a Best Market Town award has a fascinating museum of local history. Crediton has some good specialist shops and the ancient church of St Boniface. Many of the towns in the Heart of Devon have regular farmer’s markets where you can sample local produce for which the region is rightly famous.

There are many village pubs and restaurants with excellent food and local cider and ale. Killerton and Knightshayes are two National Trust properties in the area, both fascinating houses with wonderful gardens. Children are well catered for at Diggerland, Quad World and Crealy Adventure Park and there are excellent golf courses and plenty of fishing opportunities.

In the Heart of Devon you are never too far away from Exmoor and Dartmoor or from either the North and South coasts.
