‘chocolate box' thatched cottage in the lovely unspoilt Mid-Devon
countryside near Crediton. From the garden walk through the surrounding meadow, along
the river bank watching the abundant & varied wildlife or even try
your hand at fishing. The cottage has bags of character. Beamed,
ensuite double bedroom, bathroom and another bedroom with double &
single beds upstairs. Downstairs lounge with woodburner, dining room
with inglenook & kitchen. There is also a downstairs loo.
Dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge freezer. Full oil
central heating. You are also welcome to bring your dog here.
Our
barn conversion was originally the stable for the farm horses, now a
comfortable home with 2 ensuite family rooms upstairs (one with four
poster) and kitchen & lounge downstairs. There is also a downstairs
wetroom & loo for disabled . This also has full central heating,
washer/dryer, dishwasher. The lounge has patio doors to the garden.
Ideal place if you are older or less able. There is a phone located in
both properties.
We
are a working family farm in the traditional way. We have beef
including a small herd of pedigree Devons and sheep. We also grow
cereals. There are also the usual farm dogs & cats, chickens, ducks
and a couple of horses. Lots to watch anytime of the year.
Nearby we have lots of local pubs serving great food, the nearest just half a mile, or a few minutes walk.
A
great place to stay for visiting all parts of this lovely county, both
north & south coast, Dartmoor or Exmoor anytime of the year. Or if
you just want to relax and recharge your batteries. We can even offer
you breakfast in the farmhouse.
